Learning Day 2021

LEARNING DAY OVERVIEW AND AGENDA

Learning Day 2021 is a collegewide event that will allow Valencia College employees the opportunity to learn, celebrate and inspire one another. The day will feature three learning sessions, as well as a morning general session with remarks from College President Sandy Shugart and a keynote speaker.

PLEASE NOTE that Learning Day is considered a regular college workday for full-time employees. If you will be absent, please ensure that you submit a certificate of absence for your supervisor's approval prior to Friday, February 12, 2021.

This year, Learning Day will be held via Zoom. It will be necessary for employees to use their Valencia College credentials (username/login) to access the Zoom sessions. Please sure your version of Zoom is up to date.

Learning Day Agenda

8:30 – 9:00 a.m. – Welcome by Dr. Shugart

9:00 – 10:10 a.m. – Keynote Speaker

10:20 – 11:10 a.m. – Learning Session 1

11:10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – Lunch Break

12:00 – 12:50 p.m. – Learning Session 2

1:00 – 1:50 p.m. – Learning Session 3

1:50 – 2:00 p.m. – Closing Remarks

2 – 4:30 p.m. – Self-guided learning opportunities, or department meetings

Registration for individual learning sessions is not required as virtual space is on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that sessions are subject to change.
